CHINA CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION CONTRACT SIGNING

Lusaka, Zambia, 1 May 2024 – China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has been awarded the road construction and drainage contract for the 184 km Kasomeno-Mwenda Toll Road (KMTR). This significant milestone in our mission to enhance regional infrastructure and connectivity was marked by the signing of contracts for both the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia on the 30th of April, 2024 in Lusaka.

The contracts were signed by GED Africa’s CEO, Mr. Klaus Findt, and CCECC’s General Manager, Mr. Yang Qu. During the signing, CCECC expressed their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the project. Mr. Yang Qu has pledged to uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility during the construction process. He also emphasized CCECC’s dedication to fulfilling their social obligations, aiming to enhance regional infrastructure and strengthen connectivity between Zambia and DRC.

Mr. Klaus Findt added, “We eagerly anticipate the positive socio-economic impact these contracts will bring to the host communities.”
