Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) – June 26, 2024 – GED Africa, signs with Egis, a leading global consulting, engineering, and operations firm in infrastructure. Egis will serve as the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) operator for the Kasomeno-Mwenda Toll Road Project (KMTR), commonly known as the ‘GED Africa Route’.
The signing in DRC’s leading mining region, included senior executives from both companies and local government partner, Agence Congolaise des Grand Travaux (ACGT).

The contract was signed by GED Africa’s CEO, Mr. Klaus Findt and Egis’ Project Director, Mr. Jean-Eric Benoit. The signing demonstrates the long-term vision for world-class infrastructure and tolling facilities in the region, enhancing trade and connectivity for all stakeholders.
Egis, leveraging 40+ years of experience across Africa, will manage the operations and maintenance of the GED Africa Route, tolling and one-stop border post facilities. This collaboration includes a 33-month fixed operating equipment contract and a 7-year operations and maintenance contract.
Egis’ extensive operational experience in Africa positions them as the ideal operations and maintenance partner for the Kasomeno-Mwenda Toll Road Project.
